A new format will be followed for the announcement of the Miss Universe 2017 Top 16 finalists reports says. The coronation night is happening at The Axis in Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas Nevada on Sunday, Nov 26.
This year’s pageant is another one too look out for. Aside from the fact that Steve Harvey is again hosting with Ashley Graham as backstage host, we know that Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is also part of the panel of judges. Miss Universe 2017: Top 16 finalists announcement, Rachel Peters evening gown photo leaked
A report by the Manila Bulletin says there will be a twist to this year’s Top 16 finalists announcement. Norman Tinio, a popular blogger for international and local beauty pageant relays the changes.
Tinio says, “For the first cut, three candidates from each region will be selected based on scores plus one spot for the girl with the most votes in that region.” He went on to say, “And then, there will be four remaining Wild Card spots from around the world.”
Tionio made it more specific and said, “So there will be four girls from the Americas, four girls from Europe, four girls from Asia, Africa, and Pacific; and four wild cards. A total of 16 semi-finalists.”
There are also unconfirmed reports that say the 92 candidates will also choose among themselves who will join the Top 16 semifinalists.
Report also says that Miss Universe 2015 Pia has left for Las Vegas with mentor Jonas Gaffud.
Miss Universe PH bet Rachel Peters evening gown leaked. Recently, a snapshot of Rachel Peters’ evening gown was leaked on social media. There are no confirmations if it was indeed the dress she will be wearing for the finale. Rachel posted a message to whoever posted the photo on IG stories. She said, “To whoever leaked pictures of my evening gown, thank you for teaching me a lesson about being more careful who you trust. Not sure what your intentions were but no matter what, you’re not dragging me down.”
She went on to say, “At the end of the day, it’s not about the dress you wear, how you walk or even the elements of surprise. What’s important is that you are kind and true to yourself, that’s when a girl truly shines.”
Kagandahang Flores beauty camp’s Rodgil Flores, head of the agency who trained Rachel Peters said Rachel brought six gowns for the Miss Universe contest and they’ve already chosen the gown she will be wearing for the finals.
