LIVE UPDATE 3: Miss Philippines Maxine Medina, after making it to Top 6, is no longer part of the Top 3, crushing every Filipinos dream of keeping the Crown.

Maxine Medina was the first to brave the Question and Answer portion. As reported, she asked for an interpreter to be with her during this portion. The question that was posed to her was: “What is the most significant change you’ve seen in the last 10 years?” After hearing her interpreter translate it, she proceeded to answer the question in English.

Her answer was: “The last 10 years of being here in the world is that I saw all the people bringing in one event like this in Miss Universe, it’s something big for us,  we are one, we are one nation all together.”

LIVE UPDATE 1: Philippines’ bet Maxine Medina has made it to the Top 9 during the Miss Universe 2016 Grand Coronation Night.

After the swimsuit competition round of the Top 13, Steve Harvey then announced the names of the contestants who will advance to the Top 9. Harvey called Maxine after the first eight names were called.

In a short message she said, “Now that I’m here, with the help of my fellow Filipinos, I’m confident I can be Miss Universe.”

Maxine will now advance to the evening gown competition, after which the top 6 will be announced.

Miss Universe PH Bet Maxine Medina Part Of Top 13

The Philippines’ bet, Maxine Medina, in the ongoing Miss Universe 2016 pageant has made it to the top 13. With the coronation night being broadcast live from the Philippines, host Steve Harvey is currently announcing the names of the contestants who made it to the top 13.

Steve announced seven other contestants before calling on the name of Maxine Medina. Once she was front and center, the host asked her what a former Miss Universe title holder who is also from the Philippines told her about what she needs to do during the pageant. Maxine shared that she said: “Be myself, and be more confident because we are here in the Philippines.”

Maxine Medina, an interior design graduate and a model, has been reported as one of the favorites during the Preliminary Competition. Most reports indicated that she was on top of her game in the swimsuit, national costume and evening gown competition.

While most Filipinos are calling on everyone to throw their support for the country’s bet, quite a number of netizens also expressed their fears about Maxine not being able to do well in the Question and Answer competition.
