Among the new entries announced at the MMFF 2017 event, the comedy film ‘Deadma Walking’ is the only independent film that made it this year. The movie is based on a screenplay that won a Carlos Palanca Award. It is about two gay friends, one of whom has a terminal illness and asks the other to help fake his death.
