Mocha Uson Speaks Up About PCOO Asec Appointment, Twitterverse Reacts

It’s official. Sexy entertainer turned blogger Mocha Uson is the new assistant secretary of the Presidential Communications Operation Office (PCOO). Uson was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte and her appointment paper was released by Malacañang on Tuesday. People feel mixed emotions about it and couldn’t help but share a piece of their mind on Twitter.

Now Assistant Secretary Margaux Justiniano Uson is one of the most popular supporters of Pres. Duterte. She has millions of followers on Twitter and on Facebook and is very vocal about what happens in the world of politics. She became an Ambassador of the Metro Manila Film Festival last (MMFF) in December 2016 and then Board Member of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) in January. She now climbs up the ladder and is the newly appointed PCOO.

Mocha Uson Is new PCOO Asec

A report by the Inquirer says that due to Mocha Uson’s appointment as PCOO Asec, her MTRCB post has been relinquished. Uson will be working for Secretary Martin Andanar and will be under Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella. Abella is in charge of content and messaging, and final release of information.

Mocha Uson speaks up about her appointment through an interview on May 8 with Aksyon as reported by PEP. Uson said, “I’m humbled by the trust given by the President and I will do everything I can.”

She further said that her job is now more focused on those who are asking for help most especially through social media. Filipinos, most especially Overseas Foreign Workers (OFW), use social media to voice out their concerns. She said that with her appointment, she will double the effort in listening to these concerns and will be more mindful of corrupt officials.

Netizens on Twitter could not help but comment on Mocha Uson’s recent appointment as PCOO Asec. Some of those comments are seen below. To her bashers she said that they are free to say anything they want since they are entitled to their own opinion. Mocha added she is used to being bashed and that she will go on with her job but nonetheless asked for everyone’s support.
