But then, of course, since Valentine’s Day is upon us, it is always a great idea to watch a movie with your special someone. So if you’re planning to go out on a date, make it a movie marathon date night! Get a load of this week’s movie mix with “Alone Together,” “Serenity,” “Cold Pursuit,” “The Lego Movie 2,” “Basmati Blues,” and “How to Be a Latin Lover.”

Movie Mix February 13: Making You Feel Loved at the Movies

“Alone/Together” is a film by Antoinette Jadaone that stars Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil. It is about two people, Christine and Raf, who meet again years after breaking up when they were in college. Now in a pivotal time in their lives they try to answer the what-if questions that keep surfacing since they parted ways. Just recently, the Cinema Evaluation Board gave the movie an A rating.

Neo-Noir thriller, “Serenity,” tells the twisted story of a fishing boat captain who is asked by his ex-wife to get rid of her new husband who is abusive. It stars some of the biggest stars in Hollywood including Matthew McConaughey, Diane Lane, Anne Hathaway, Jason Clarke, Djimon Hounsou, and Jeremy Strong.

“Cold Pursuit” is a remake of the film, “In Order of Disappearance” – a Norwegian vigilante film released in 2014. It is about a snowplow driver bent on getting revenge on a drug lord after the driver’s son is brutally murdered. The movie stars Liam Neeson, Laura Dern, Emmy Rossum, William Forsythe, and Tom Bateman.

Animated Adventure Comedy Movie “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” is the sequel to 2014’s “The Lego Movie” and the fourth film in the franchise. The voices or Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Charlie Day, Will Ferrel, Alison Brie, and Nick Offerman bring the Lego characters to life. “The Lego Movie 2” is set five years after the first movie where the citizens face a new adversary, Lego Duplo from outer space.

Captain Marvel actor Brie Larson stars alongside Utkarsh Ambudkar in “Basmati Blues,” a rom-com musical. It is about a scientist named Linda (Larson) who successfully creates genetically modified rice and gets sent to India to sell it to local farmers. She then meets, Rajit (Ambudkar) who relentlessly advocates the rights of local rice farmers. When the two meet, they find common ground and protect the farmers’ way of life and end up falling for each other in the process.

“How to Be a Latin Lover” is a comedy about a man who has been married to a rich old woman all his life. When he gets kicked out, he then realizes that he has to learn so much about making a life for himself. Salma Hayek, Eugenio Derbez, Raphael Alejandro, Raquel Welch, Rob Riggie, Rob Lowe, and Kristen Bell star in the movie.
