Movie Mix January 23: An Eclectic Movie Combination

“The Kid Who Would Be King” brings back the classic tale of Arthur and Excalibur to the modern world through the life of an everyday kid named Alex (Louis Ashbourne Serkis). Now Alex thinks he is a nobody, but when he comes across Excalibur, the Sword in the Stone, the leader in him is awakened. In an epic adventure, he gathers his friends and enemies to go against the evil enchantress Morgana (Rebecca Ferguson). With the help of Merlin (Angus Imrie), of course!

“The Upside” is a comedy-drama remake of the 2011 French film,”The Intouchables.” This film is inspired by the life of a man named Philippe Pozzo di Borgo, a businessman and Director of Pommery who inherited the historic Hôtel Particulier in Paris. The plot revolves around a billionaire who is paralyzed who establishes a not-so-ordinary friendship with the man he hired to take care of him. The film stars Bryan Cranston, Kevin Heart, Nicole Kidman,  Golshifteh Farahani, and Julianna Margulies.

Supernatural horror film, “The Possession of Hannah Grace” is about an ex-policewoman who gets into a sinister encounter while working in a morgue. Among the movie’s cast members are Shay Mitchell, Stana Katic, Grey Damon, and Kirby Johnson as Hannah Grace.

In addition to these films, blockbuster hits “Replicas,” “Marry Poppins Returns,” “Bumblebee,” and “Glass” are still showing in theaters this week.
