“A Star is Born”  is a musical romantic drama produced and directed by Bradley Cooper as his directorial debut. Bradley also co-wrote the screenplay of this 1937 film remake along with Eric Roth and Will Fetters. The film is about an alcoholic musician (Bradley Cooper) who falls in love with a young singer (Lady Gaga). Even in his downward spiral, he helps her find fame. “A Star is Born” premiered on August 31, 2018 at the 75th Venice International Film Festival. This is the third remake of the film after the original in 1937, starring Janet Gaynor and Fredric March; the musical version in 1954, starring Judy Garland and James Mason; and the 1976 rock musical starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.

“Liway” is a Filipino Cinemalaya film that tells the true story of a mother named Day who does her best to shelter her child from the harsh realities of life living inside Camp Delgado, a military camp for both rebels and criminals during Martial Law.
