Today, Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga return to inspire hopeless romantics to love again with the highly anticipated rom-com, “Last Night.” Piolo is “Mark” who has a lot of issues with himself. When he meets Carmina (Toni) while rescuing a man from the railway, they instantly get along and since the two seem to get so entwined in their spontaneous wishful romance, they decide to spend one last night together even if they both know they have their own partners in their own realities. Such kind of randomness may have been just what they needed to get some perspective and it is most interesting to see how they chose to end the night. The film is directed by Joyce Bernal and the screenplay was written by Bela Padilla. Five Med students dare to embrace near-death in “Flatliners.” The film is a sequel to the 1990 sci-fi psychological thriller of the same title that stars Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, William Baldwin, Oliver Platt, and Kevin Bacon. Two decades ago, the film was also about med students attempting near-death experiences to find out what lies beyond death. Now, about twenty eight years later, Kiefer’s character, Nelson Wright, survives such experiments and a new group of students attempt the same procedure to satisfy their curiosity. This, however, turns dark as the five realize that the side effects brings forth a horrific past. The 2017 movie stars Ellen Page, Diego Luna, Nina Dobrev, James Norton, Kiersey Clemons, Beau Mirchoff, and Kiefer Sutherland as Nelson Wright. Liam Neeson stars in biographic spy thriller about FBI agent Mark Felt. The story revolves around how Mark, otherwise known as “Deep Throat,” helped reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein in an investigation uncovering the Watergate Scandal that led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. Liam Neeson is Mark Felt and Diane Lane is his wife in the film. Felt was an FBI special agent who served as the Bureau’s Associate Director from May 1972 until June 1973. He has published two memoirs, “The FBI Pyramid” in 1979 and “A G-Man’s Life” that he co-wrote with John O’Conner. The 2017 film, “Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House” is based on the autobiography Felt wrote with O’Conner. A son of an evil warlord faces the wrath of ninjas in “The Lego Ninjago Movie.” The action adventure animated film features the voices of Jackie Chan, Dave Franco, Fred Armisen, Kumail Nanjiani, Michael Pena, Abbi Jacobson, Zach Woods, and Justin Theroux.
