Movie Mix July 25: There’s Something for Everyone

The sixth installment of the Mission Impossible franchise returns with “Mission: Impossible – Fallout.” The fifth Mission: Impossible film, “Rogue Nation” was released in 2015 and after three years, the MI cast Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Sean Harris, Michelle Monaghan, and Alec Baldwin are back to reprise their roles. This time around, A-Listers Henry Cavil, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby officially join the franchise. In “Fallout,” Henry Cavil is a CIA agent given the task to take out Ethan Hunt and his team when a mission goes wrong.

“Kusina Kings” brings back classic Pinoy humor of the 90’s. Zanjor Marudo and Empoy Marquez co-star in this comedy directed by Victor Villanueva. The film promises the great combination of good food, witty and naughty jokes, with a supernatural spice. It tells the story of the journey of two friends who do what they love. It is interesting to know that Chef Myke “Tatung” Sartho created a dish called “Ado-bro” just for the film.

“Richard the Stork” is a computer-animated adventure film that was first released in Germany as “Überflieger – Kleine Vögel, großes Geklappe.” The movie premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in Germany and it tells the story of an orphaned sparrow, Richard, who is raised by storks. When migration comes, Richard goes on a journey to stay with his family.

“Behind the Walls” and “Our House” are horror films about haunted houses in a rage. “Behind the Walls” tells the story of a broken family that wants to start over in a new home. However, this home literally wants them to stay forever, no matter how dark it gets. “Our House” on the other hand features a genius who invents a mechanism that heightens paranormal activity in the house bringing back spirits of previous acquaintances and loved ones to a rather sinister extent.
