Nadine Lustre’s Relative Confirms Brother’s Passing

Nadine Lustre’s relative has just confirmed that the Isaiah Paguia Lustre who was reported to have passed away on Oct 10 is indeed the actress’ brother. No word from Nadine as of yet but reports say the family was joined by some celebs on the day of Isaiah’s wake.

On Oct 10 around 2 pm, Kapamilya actress, model, and host Nadine Lustre posted on her IG story a semicolon with the hashtag #keepgoing. Her on and off screen partner did the same and fans were puzzled as to why. Click here to read the full story. First thoughts were that JaDine were just spreading awareness on depression and suicide. This, of course, went viral instantly. On the same day, news broke out of a 16-year-old named Isaiah Paguia Lustre who took his own life by means of a gunshot to the head. No confirmations connecting Isaiah and Nadine at that time although a wiki profile says Nadine does have a brother named Isaiah.

Nadine Lustre and family grieves loss of brother, Relative confirms

A certain Nona Clemente posted on Twitter a message that confirms the relationship of Nadine and Isaiah. A PEP report says Nona is actually the first cousin of Ulysses Lustre. Ulysses is Nadine’s father.

In Nona’s tweet on Oct 11, she said, “Please lift a prayer for my nephew, Isaiah Lustre. Eternal rest grant unto him Oh Lord. And perpetual light shine upon him. #keepgoing.” A few hours after, Nona posted another tweet saying, “Thank you all for the love and prayers. May we respectfully request to allow us to have this one last time with our dear Isaiah privately.”

The report further says Gary Valenciano sang “I Will Be Here” during the funeral. Nona posted on her IG stories a clip of Gary V singing. In that clip, Nona captioned, “Thank you for the words of hope, love, and faith. Thank you for taking time to be with us together with your family.”

Since news of Isaiah’s death broke out, Nadine and her family kept silent and didn’t give any statement whatsoever. Instead, she and James Reid used their social media platforms to raise awareness about depression and suicide. Minutes after JaDine posted this semicolon with the hashtag #keepgoing, thousands of fans spread the word until it became number one on trends in the Philippines.

Because of this, many considered them to be an inspiration as seen on numerous tweets. The mere fact that Nadine Lustre and James Reid are able to still take time to raise awareness while grieving the loss of her brother proves that they are not just in showbiz for fame. They are in it to be a positive influence as well.
