Pinoy Big Brother winner Marydale MayMay Entrata has just released her first album and it turned out to be a huge success. For the price of P699, you get a concert ticket to see Maymay herself and own a CD copy of her album. Two hours after its release, it immediately sold out.

Maymay Entrata won PBB in March and is linked to fellow housemate Edward Barber. Together, they are known as MayWard. They have built such a wide and strong fan base and it seems nothing will stom Maymay from reaching more of her dreams. Her lilfe story was featured in an episode of Maalalaala Mo Kaya, and since then, fans loved her even more.

During the insane tweet-a-thon happening on Twitter, the My Only Radio host DJ Jhaiho tweets that he will be hosting the event. He tweets: ‘kitakits tayo sa June 21 mga kapamilya. Ako po host, excited ako makasama kayo ulit lahat!’ and then signs off with a congratulations tag for Maymay’s successful debut album.

Dream come true

In a report by ABS-CBN, Maymay reveals that she has always wanted to release her own album ever since she was in high school. She has expressed interest in singing and has mentioned composing a few songs. One of the fan favorites is none other than “Baliw”– an original composition she, and her love team Edward Barber wrote and sang in Showtime last year.

Bubblegum Pop Genre

The album will feature the Bubblegum Pop genre, as reported by PEP News. This said genre is music that is upbeat and fun– a combination of pop’s catchiness and rock’s sweet beats. It’s the best genre for a personality like Maymay’s. Fans will agree that this type of music defines and describes the 20-year-old’s, funny personality. After all, she’s been fondly called as the ‘Miss Wacky-go-lucky of Cagayan De Oro, wasn’t she?

The making of Maymay’s Debut Album

Moments after leaving the PBB house victoriously, Maymay’s launch into her career had just begun. Back in the late days of March, Star Music Executive Roxy Liquigan posted a video on his Instagram showing Maymay and record producer-composer Jonathan Manalo in the Star Music office. The 20-year-old seemed to be extremely hyped about being there, she was practically squealing in delight.

April comes in and our PBB star is seen signing the Star Music Contract.

Now, she’s days away from her concert, with slots full and CD albums sold out. The hashtag #MaymayAlbumLaunchSoldOut was trending on Twitter. Fans were congratulating Maymay in her success.

The Maymay Entrata Concert is one June 21 at the SM City North EDSA Skydome.
