Logan

The second and final trailer of “Logan” is out and 20th Century Fox made sure it would leave fans more excited. The Marvel character Logan is of course still played by Hugh Jackman and is joined by Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier/Professor X and upcoming child star Dafne Keen who plays the role of Laura Kinney or X-23. 20th Century Fox’s “Logan” hits theaters on March 3, 2017.

Since the posting of the new trailer of “Logan” in social media on January 19, it has had 20M views on Facebook, almost 3M views on YouTube, and 26k lies on Twitter. Fans are absolutely excited for what they are about to see on the big screen.

Watch New ‘Logan’ Trailer, Logan Cares For Professor X And Young Mutant

The new “Logan” trailer released by 20th Century Fox reveals more of it’s plot compared to the trailer released in October. For starters, the first trailer was a bit more focused on Logan’s character and how a bit out of shape Professor X was. The young mutant known as Laura Kinney was subtly introduced and showed how she was ‘exactly like Logan’ as Professor X says. It was more of giving a preview of characters and showing how fans could still expect original characters from “Wolverine.” Plus, the OST of the trailer gave a bit of a nostalgic feeling since the first movie, “The Wolverine” which was released in 2013.

Now that the new trailer is out, fans could now actually see the real deal and the action that’s about to be out in theaters soon. The trailer opens with Laura Kinner at a convenience store and the store clerk asking her how she’s going to pay for the pair of shades she has on, the soda in her hand which was already open, and the Pringles that she has in her mouth. Laura or “X-23” then gets away with it by bringing the clerk up in the air with super strength and pinning him down, Logan stopping her from doing anymore damage. It all gets really exciting from there. Logan steals a few candy bars from the counter because why not, Professor X was right when he said Laura was exactly like him.

The year is 2029, mutants are extinct because of what happened in “X-Men:Days of Future Past,” Logan and Professor X are ageing and Logan’s healing ability is starting to fail. Laura is an X-Men fan as revealed in the story and she’s one of the few mutants who are still alive. An organization called Transigen is after Laura or X-23 because of her ability and it is up to Logan and Professor X to protect her, or the other way around. The trailer shows how strong Laura is at a young age and how she and Logan takes on the people who are after her.

According to Forbes, Logan wil be the first live-action comic book superhero in a year with six offering between March and November. This strategy by 20th century Fox is called “tentpoled for adults.” “A Cure for Wellness” in February, “Logan” for March, “Alien Covenant” in May, “War for the Planet of the Apes” in July and “Kingsman:The Golden Circle” in October.

“Logan” by 20th Century Fox hits US theaters on March 3, and hits Philippine theaters on March 1.
