It started with James Bond. In March, the fifth and final Bond film starring Daniel Craig in the role of 007 No Time To Die saw its release date pushed back from April to November due to the pandemic. A few weeks later, theatres closed down all over the world. Production halted and studios were forced to hold off. From carefully and meticulously planned schedules, they’ve all scrambled to create new 2020 movie release dates.

This was supposed to be a hit season of blockbusters. With much-anticipated titles like Wonder Woman 1984, Marvel’s Black Widow, A Quiet Place Part 2, No Time To Die, Mulan, Top Gun, and plenty other more, cinephiles and moviegoers would’ve had their hands full to their delight but alas. Some big films have stopped production. Some have been canceled while others opted to forgo the traditional cinema release and instead set course for digital releases. The good news is that plenty of studios are recovering and have now revealed their new 2020 movie release dates.

Updated Calendar: New 2020 Movie Release Dates

Despite the current challenges and the uncertainties for the near future, the movie industry is prepared to move forward. These delays are inconsequential compared to the health and well-being of everybody but they affect more than just the movie studios. They have been one of the many signs of just how much the coronavirus has wreaked havoc on the world. A return to the movies and hopefully to theatres soon will be a signal that we’re coming out of these strange times. So, pick up your calendars and mark your new movie dates with the updated 2020 movie release dates. (Set
