And they’ve each had varying levels of success with their own projects. Niall released his single “Slow Hands,” with his album release set sometime in Fall. Harry dropped his self-titled debut album and broke records. But of course, as soon as the group splintered, questions inevitably arose asking when the band would get back together. Officially, One Direction is on “indefinite hiatus.” Which led to many fans questioning the boys if this was One Direction’s way of breaking up without really breaking up. Thankfully for the fans, the boys have all – in one way or another – stated they wouldn’t rule out a reunion. Granted, a reunion somewhere in the distant future, but a reunion nonetheless. The latest reassurance comes from Niall Horan during an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada. Niall’s Interview With Entertainment Tonight Canada Cheryl Hickey on “Entertainment Tonight Canada” asked Niall if he would collaborate with his 1D bandmates on his new album. Niall said he wouldn’t rule out the possibility. He expressed his willingness to collaborate with other artists, but he also said he and his bandmates wouldn’t be featured on each other’s solo projects – for now. He explained through an interview with ET that it would be “a bit weird” currently because they’re all doing their own thing. Niall also spoke a little about his anticipated debut album and took the chance to gush about his Canadian fans. Particularly one – Michael Buble. Apparently, the singer sent Niall an encouraging voice message, which really touched the Irishman. Another Canadian Niall gushed about? Shawn Mendes. During the interview, Niall shared a story of when he shared some beers and song ideas with Shawn. Now that’s a collaboration with awesome potential! What The Other One Direction Members Have To Say The other boys, for their parts, seem equally willing to reunite as One Direction, whether in collaborations or an official album. However, like Niall, they seem to be really savoring the opportunity to see where their solo careers take them. Liam Payne, in December 2016, said in a Tweet that he was “certain” that 1D would get back together. Louis Tomlinson admitted to Rolling Stone he wasn’t sure when 1D would reunite. However, he also remained open to the possibility. For his part, Harry Styles told The Sun that he wouldn’t rule out a reunion. In his eyes, the band took a break at the right time. A collaboration might not be off the table but the timing has to be right – and right now, it isn’t. Surprisingly, even Zayn added in his two cents on a possible reunion in an interview with Sunday Times Culture magazine. The singer didn’t shut down the possibility of one but agreed with Harry that the timing needed to be right. Facebook Comments
