Whatever happened to the naked swimming baby in Nirvana’s “Nevermind” album cover? That’s the question everyone’s asking now that the album celebrates its 25th.

Spencer Elden, known as “Nirvana Baby,” appeared on the cover of the landmark album, “Nevermind” when he was an infant. Recently, he recreated this image and told the NY Post, that the anniversary meant something to him. He further says it was weird to be part of something so important but he had no memory of since it was a long time ago. According to NPR music, Spencer’s dad only made $200 for the photo 25 years ago.
