Anne Curtis, NYC Marathon 2016

Actress and TV host Anne Curtis ticked off an item off her bucket list after finishing the New York City Marathon 2016 on November 6.  Anne was a finisher among 51,000 runners. According to a report, the NYC Marathon 2016 broke the record for most marathon finishers. The photo was posted on November 6 and hit over 120k.

I did it! My very first marathon in NYC! What a bucket list moment ✔️ I can't explain how fulfilling it is when you cross the finish line. It certainly isn't easy but the whole experience is worth the physical pain. Each borough (there were 5) had a different feel, music and vibe. The spectators are there to cheer you on, give you power up high-fives and push you when you feel like you want to stop. To all the kababayans that were out there today to cheer me on… screaming and some even with posters, Maraming Salamat. ❤️ Nakakaiyak and yan po ang dahilan kung bakit halos hindi nawala ang ngiti ko. After my first… I would like to conquer more! 26.2 or 42.165 dedicated and inspired by the FILIPINO YOUTH and it's through God's grace, I FINISHED ???‍♀️? @nycmarathon @unicefphils #NYCmarathANNEventure #ANNEventuresNYC #tcsnycmarathon #nycmarathon2016 #TeamUNICEFph

In the photo Anne said the whole experience was worth the physical pain. Anne said the run was inspired by and dedicated to the Filipino youth. She thanked all her ‘kababayans’ who were cheering her on and said, “Nakakaiyak and yan po ang dahilan kung bakit halos hindi nawala ung ngiti ko” (I felt so moved, this is the the reason why I had a smile on my face the whole time).

Anne Curtis is a UNICEF Philippines celebrity advocate for children. She is racing funds for Filipino children through the Simply Giving Page. Anne dedicated her NYC Marathon run to UNICEF Philippines and hoped to raise P 42,000 to represent the 42 kilometers to make it more memorable. To date, she has raised P 65,736 with 28 donors.

If I could, I'd give all of you a big hug! Thank you for standing with me as we make a change in the lives of filipino children that need our help ? A shoutout to my @unicefphils family that gave me this flag as a gift. I will continue to be a Hero and Champion for Children for as long as I live! ???‍♀️? #TeamUNICEFph #NYCmarathANNEventure #ANNEventuresNYC #tcsnycmarathon #nycmarathon2016
