This came just four days after a magnitude 6.5 earthquake hit Leyte. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology gives details about the tremor. According to the Philippine Star, the magnitude 5.4 earthquake happened at around 9:41 a.m. The report mentioned that PHILVOC said the tremor was an aftershock of the quake felt in Jaro, Leyte on Thursday, July 7.
