Similar to the previous mishap on the Miss Universe stage, the wrong name for the Best Picture was announced on the Oscars. Damien Chazelle’s La La Land was mistakenly awarded Best Picture when in truth Barry Jenkin’s Moonlight was the real winner. Sure enough, this oscar slip of the tongue gave everyone a deja vu vibe to the 2015 Miss Universe. The happening definitely earned itself a place in both the spotlight and in history. Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Universe React Naturally, this kind of thing wouldn’t go unnoticed- the right people were quick to get in the action. Right after the Oscar fiasco, the Miss Universe official twitter page tweeted “Have your people call our people – we know what to do. #Oscars #MissUniverse.” Some fans gave their fill support for the witty tweet, some were praising the people in charge of the Miss Universe twitter account. And of course, Memes have surfaced on the web. It doesn’t end there though. To the delight of fans, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach also had something to say about the whole Oscar slip. Her tweet features an excerpt of her Cream Silk shampoo endorsement which says “And if it can happen to me, it can happen to anybody.” Wurtzbach hilariously tweeted in reference to what happened to her and Miss Universe runner up Ariadna Gutierrez two years ago. Have your people call our people – we know what to do. #Oscars #MissUniverse — Miss Universe (@MissUniverse) February 27, 2017 Best tweet tonight. @MissUniverse https://t.co/mzMnbKuw9R #Oscars — Janice Dean (@JaniceDean) February 27, 2017 @MissUniverse Haha, the people managing the Miss Universe twitter account are on point. — ダニエル (@kagamiwaseda) February 27, 2017 @MissUniverse, your social media manager needs a raise! — LaurAuthority (@laurauthority) February 27, 2017 @MissUniverse pic.twitter.com/zz5mADFyLl — Angry Black Man (@CanItellit) February 27, 2017 @MissUniverse -Ughhhh…. no you don't. pic.twitter.com/kCtuRjDnsW — Billy Depp (@ucla_007) February 27, 2017 ??? #Oscars pic.twitter.com/nVM1qMDrjg — Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach (@PiaWurtzbach) February 27, 2017 @PiaWurtzbach NAKAKALOKA KA — Jaziree De Castro (@jazireedc) February 27, 2017 @PiaWurtzbach OHMYGOD THE BEST — ㅤ (@PERRYPPINES) February 27, 2017 A very Miss Universe moment at the Oscars indeed: @PiaWurtzbach hahahaha very Miss Universe moment sa Oscars ? — Ivana Señora Diestro (@Ivanaromanoff) February 27, 2017 Facebook Comments
