The Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation, Inc. (FPPF) will be holding a free photography workshop on Feb. 24. In line with the Panagbenga Flower Festival, FPPF will provide tips and lessons on composition and travel photography during the one-day workshop. The workshop venue will be at the AIM Igorot Lodge, Camp John Hay, Baguio City.
Panagbenga Photography Workshop: 4th Year In A Row
This is the fourth year that FPPF has held their photography workshop in time for the Panagbenga Flower Festival, according to the FPPF website. Last year, over 30 participants joined the workshop which included senior college students and police officers.
Panagbenga, with its street dancing parade and floral float parade, has always been known as a major photography event. The colorful floral floats and costumes of street dancers attract professional photographers and hobbyists alike.
FPPF continues its mission to educate people on the art of photography with its free photography workshop this year. These workshops are part of its corporate outreach programs that they run all over the country. Professional photographers based in Baguio serve as mentors during these workshops.
Lectures on the Principles of Composition and the basics of Travel Photography will be the main focus of the 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. workshop. Interested participants may sign up by leaving a message on FPPF’s Facebook page.
Panagbenga 2017 Photo Contest
A photo contest will also be held in line with Panagbenga 2017, where participants of the workshop are encouraged to join. This year, the prizes are: P10,000 for 1st Prize, P7,000 2nd Prize, P5,000 3rd Prize, P2,000 consolation prizes as well as plus gadgets and accessories courtesy of the sponsors. Contest rules and information on how to join will be explained during the Friday workshop.
The Philippine Information Agency is among the sponsors of the photo contest, along with private sponsors CameraHaus, Elinchrom, WD and Vet Specialists.
