Panagbenga 2017 Grand Float Parade Photos And More

Panagbenga 2017 Grand Float Parade participants wow spectators.

If you thought the crowd for the Grand Street Dance Parade is more than a handful, brace yourself for the next event! Panagbenga’s Grand Float Parade is another fantastic exhibition that portrays Baguio City’s picturesque landscapes, undying culture, and impeccable natural resources.

22nd Panagbenga Grand Float Parade Happenings

This year, a total of 20 contenders participated; ten for the Small Float Category and another ten for the Big Float Category. The ride started from DILG, through Session Road and finally reaching their way into the Melvin Jones Football Field. Throngs of people could be found scouting for the best place to see most of the show. There are murmurs from the crowd could be heard as various dialects could even be distinguished.

Joining the Panagbenga Grand Float Parade are the three musketeers: The Government of Baguio’s ‘Hand Weaving’ float and the two Hall of Famers, Baguio Country Club (BCC) and SM City Baguio. BCC seems to have a thing for dragons because just like last year, these fire-breathing mythical creatures have once again found their way into BCC’s float. This time, with the theme of the most-watched TV series Game of Thrones. Meanwhile, SM City Baguio stood tall and proud with its castle of yellow flowers with their ‘gallant prince and fair princess.

AlDub, Bea Alonzo, Enchong Dee, Jericho Rosales and More On Panagbenga 2017

Celebrities are also part of the reason why people attend the Panagbenga Grand Float Parade. First on the VIP list is GMA’s biggest, most iconic couple: AlDub with Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards. The two lovebirds seemed to be delighted with the festivities.

Following suit is ABS-CBN’s “A Love To Last” stars Enchong Dee and Bea Alonzo. Both stayed in Session but left before the judging of floats in the Melvin Jones Football Field. Other stars include Jericho Rosales, Aiza Seguerra, Asi Taulava and Miss International Kylie Verzosa. Click here to read more about stars in Panagbenga.
