Paolo Ballesteros and Derek Ramsay are set to team up for a movie under Regal Films. He won numerous awards for his role as the Filipino transgender Filipino Trisha Echevarria in “Die Beautiful.” In the upcoming Paolo-Derek team up, Paolo might just be playing another gay role in the action-comedy movie.

Paolo and Derek upcoming movie, Kissing scene?

According to a report by PEP, Actor Paolo Ballesteros signed his contract with Regal Films on March 21. He is set to do two films with them. During his contract signing, Paolo Ballesteros confirmed that he and Derek Ramsay will indeed team up for an action-comedy movie. There are no confirmations however if he will be playing a gay role on the film.

PEP asked about the partnership he and Derek would have in the movie. Paolo just teased and said he didn’t know if it was partners at work or partners in love. He was even asked if he would be ok with a kissing scene with Derek Ramsay. Paolo just said he wasn’t thinking about it but he’s sure that their team up would be something great.

Paolo Excited For Action, hopes he wouldn’t play a gay role

The 34-year-old actor expressed his excitement on doing the movie. In the report, he said he was more excited about doing the action parts instead of doing the comedy parts of the movie. He wanted to get physical doing action stunts and not just doing physical makeup transformations.

During the interview, Paolo said that if he were to choose his role in the movie, he didn’t want to play another gay role. He expressed how he wanted to have variety when it comes to his roles and how he wanted to challenge himself as well.

Paolo Ballesteros won Best Actor at the Metro Manila Film Festival 2016 and the 29th Tokyo International Film Festival for “Die Beautiful.” The film was also chosen as first runner-up in the OUTtv Audience Awards at the Rose Filmdagen Amsterdam LGBTQ Film Fest.
