People's Choice Awards

The 43rd People’s Choice Awards is happening right now at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Actor and Comedian Joel McHale will be hosting the show as highlights include performances by Blake Shelton and Fifth Harmony. Another would be Tyler Perry receiving the Favorite Humanitarian Award, which was given to Ellen DeGeneres on last year’s awards.

Nominees for the People’s Choice Awards were revealed in November last year and are listed below. The PCA’s recognizes people and work of popular culture, voted on by the general public. It is held annually since 1975. The categories include movies, television, music and digital. The greatest thing about the awards is that the winners are actually chosen by hundreds of millions of fan votes.

On the show, fans would expect special appearances by Tom Hanks, last year’s Favourite Humanitarian Ellen DeGeneres. Ellen has a total of twenty (20) People’s Choice Awards and is again nominated for three categories this year. One more win and she breaks the record for most number of awards for the People’s Choice Awards. Other stars who are expected on the show is Jennifer Lopez, Robert Downey Jr Kristen Bell, John Stamos and Wilmer Valderrama.
