Pilipinas Got Talent Is Back: Season 6 Kicks Off Jan. 6, 2018

One of the biggest talent search franchises will be back on Jan. 6, 2018. Pilipinas Got Talent kicks off its search for raw talent and ultra-entertaining acts on Jan. 6 and 7, on ABS-CBN.

Vice Ganda, Angel Locsin, Robin Padilla and Freddie M. Garcia return to the judges’ table. Billy Crawford comes back as host, together with new host Toni Gonzaga, who replaces Luis Manzano.

What To Expect In Pilipinas Got Talent 2018

This year’s search will not divert from what the franchise did last year. Pre-auditions were held in several locations nationwide, from July to Dec. 2017. The first set of pre-auditions were held in Baguio City. Aside from pre-auditions, online auditions also formed part of the search.

Those who passed the pre-audition stage went on to perform in the live auditions in front of the judges. The first live auditions happened on Nov. 20-22, 2017 in Cebu City. The final live auditions happen on Jan. 20-22, 2018 at the Tanghalang Pasigueno in Pasig City.

Bring On The Talent, Pilipinas!

Based on video teasers released on TV and social media, this year’s search will have its share of weird and possibly dangerous acts.

Among the acts that probably caught everybody’s attention is the group of men performing a dance with only towels and nothing more as their costumes. It not only caught the audience by surprise but also the judges and the hosts. Yet another is a group performance which was done in an outdoor setting, with performers up high on what looked like wooden electric poles.

Some of the teasers also show some tension between the judges, especially when it comes to saying their piece about certain acts.
