It’s another weekend full of homegrown talents on Pilipinas Got Talent. On Feb. 3, Robin Padilla gives his Golden Buzzer to a unique dance act from Quezon City. All in all, 7 acts from different parts of the Philippines got enough votes to proceed to the next round in the competition.
Pilipinas Got Talent Feb 3-4, Robin Padilla’s Golden Buzzer
A unique dance act performed by the Nocturnal Dance Company received Robin Padilla’s Golden Buzzer this season. As each of the judges and the hosts are entitled to one golden buzzer, only three are left from Vice Ganda, Billy Crawford and Toni Gonzaga.
The dance group from Quezon City comes from humble beginnings, practicing only along the streets. All of them are professional dancers and they impressed all 4 judges with their hip-hop and tribal fusion performance. Robin called them the “answer” to his prayers.
Another dance group composed of over-50 moms and grandmoms wowed the judges with their energetic hip-hop number. All of the judges agreed that their moves defied their ages. They got 4 yes votes.
An all-female group called Airstars PH showed a number that defied gravity. Vice Ganda said that their moves were not as graceful as she expected, which Freddie M. Garcia agreed with. However, the girls still got 4 yes votes and move to the next round.
Unique Talents All Around
Jeptah Callitong, a young close-up magician, showed off his magic tricks to each of the judges. FMG said that his moves were smooth and flawless. Vice Ganda was equally impressed and could not figure out how he does it. All four judges said yes to him.
A tricycle driver from Laguna, Joven Olvido, was the hit of the night. Even before he started his act, he gamely did a quick skit with Vice Ganda, much to the delight of the audience and the rest of judges. After his comedic vape act, the judges commended him for his entertainment value, and he got 4 yes votes.
Another unique talent was showcased by Batangas Drum Beaters. Their outdoor act involved playing different types of drums with some choreography. This school group from Batangas also got 4 yes votes.
Antonio Bathan, an 18-year-old from Batangas showed his talent in spoken poetry with a poem about love and Pinakbet. Angel also asked him to do a spontaneous spoken word piece about PGT which earned him applause and 4 yes votes.
Finally, Cresencio Estremus, an LGU employee from Misamis Occidental, made his grand entrance as an impersonator of Pres. Duterte. Everyone except Angel was impressed enough to give him 3 yes votes.
