Four more acts joined the next phase of Pilipinas Got Talent as they auditioned during the Jan. 13 episode of the talent competition. One audition saw the tension at the judges table heat up when Robin Padilla told the auditioner to learn to speak Tagalog first before talking to him.

Robin Padilla Tells Korean Kim Jiwan To ‘Learn To Speak Tagalog’

Korean Kim Jiwan, a close-up magician, went on stage to show his talent. He introduced himself as someone who has lived in the country for more than 8 years and even has a Filipino girlfriend. As he approached the judges table to ask Robin to help in his magic trick, Robin refused to help him. He told Kim to learn to speak Tagalog first before talking to him, saying that this is a Philippine talent show.

Kim then asked Angel instead to help him in his trick. After this, Angel Locsin stepped in and taught Kim a few Tagalog phrases he can use to talk to Robin. Robin gave in and volunteered to take part in the magic tricks. In the end, he was impressed with the magical talent of Kim. He however still insisted that the Korean should learn the language. After getting 3 yes votes from Robin, Angel and Vice, Kim moves to the next round.

Netizens Hit Robin For Being ‘Rude’ And ‘Racist’

Netizens took to social media immediately after watching the episode and hit Robin Padilla for being “rude, racist and insensitive” to Kim, according to an Inquirer report. One netizen said: “I can’t bear watching Robin being rude to someone who loves Phillipines and its people. A big clap for Angel for being considerate.”

Maka Girls, Male Pole Dancer And Sadako-inspired Act Go To Next Round

Maka Girls, a girl group from Cebu, impressed the judges with an original Visayan rock song which talks about people being addicted to love. Angel also commended a male pole dancer, Johnny Villanueva for showing that men can be as impressive in pole dancing as women.

Finally, Mary Grace Decafe of Iloilo City turned the mood on stage from scary to funny when she showed up looking very much like the ghost Sadako. What the audience first thought was a scary act became silly and funny when Mary Grace started bringing out household implements and appliances and attempted to pull a cloth from under each of them.
