Tonight’s episode features the last part of Pinoy Boyband Superstar’s Grand Reveal. Last night, Cebuano Niel Murillo became the first member of the boyband that the show intends to form. This leaves six heartthrobs: Ford, Joao, Mark, Russell, Tony, Tristan, to fight for the last four slots in the boyband.
The boys will once again perform individually in front of the live audience and the judges.
#BoybandPHWinners Joao Comes Home To Bataan
First to perform is Joao. Before his performance, a video clip of his homecoming to Samal, Bataan was showed. According to him, he still has relatives in this town and he actually spent his high school days here. He sang “Twerking Like Miley,” and after his performance, host Billy asked judge Vice Ganda for her comments.
Vice Ganda said that Joao’s advantage was that he was “eye candy” and guaranteed to attract girl fans all over. Judge Yeng also said the same, saying that he had that “X-Factor” that is needed in this industry and she is confident he will make it to the final five.
#BoybandPHWinners Tony and Ford’s Homecoming
After the commercial break, host Billy had a chance to talk to Niel. When asked how he was feeling, he said that he was excited to find out who the other four members are.
Before Tony’s performance, he shared his experience coming home to Pangasinan. After which, he sang his survival song, the OPM ballad “Kulang Ako Kung Wala Ka.”
For Ford, his homecoming took him back to Valenzuela, where he got to visit his family and community. Singing “Without You” where he tried to show his vocal range as well as his dance moves.
Judge Aga told Ford that he was expecting him to be part of the final four. However, he was not too happy with Tony’s performance. He also wished both of them luck. When it was Sandara’s turn, she called both of them as her inspiration and that she is proud of the pair’s achievement so far.
#BoybandPHWinners Mark and Tristan Perform
Mark’s homecoming brings him back to Bacoor City, where their city mayor gave him a special award for his achievement. After his homecoming clip, Mark performed “Mangarap Ka,” true to his preference for the rock genre.
The last heartthrob to perform is Tristan who hails from Pandi, Bulacan. His homecoming clip featured him sending time with his family, relatives, friends and community members. For his survival song, he sang “Can’t Stop The Feeling,” where he also showed off some of his dance moves.
Judge Vice said she was entertained with both their performances. Sandara agreed with her, adding that it made their decision all the more difficult.
#BoybandPHWinners Russell Visits Camiguin
Russell gets to visit his family in Camiguin, Mindanao, where he was surprised to see so many that support him. He chose Adele’s “All I Ask” as his survival song. His performance gave him a chance to showcase his vocal chops.
Host Billy then asked the judges to share their comments about Russell’s final song in the competition. Judge Aga was the first to speak, and he asked the voters to vote for Russell. The next judge to comment was Yeng, who commended Russell mainly for his talent, which was going to bring him a bright future.
