POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG RECAP: With only 11 heartthrobs left, Pinoy Boyband Superstar’s second live show tonight saw the boys forming three new groups. According to a video teaser released by the show, each group will perform OPM hits. By the end of the weekend, one more contestant will say goodbye to his boyband dreams.

#BoyBandPH2ndLive: News Groups Formed

Before the live performances, Billy announced that three new groups have been formed. As with the first week live show, the best boyband group of the week and the weakest group of the week will be chosen.

Group 1 included Joao, Niel, Tony and Russell. Before they performed “Dahil Mahal Kita,” they were shown in the place where they were housed. Before practice, they got to know each other a bit, with each one saying something about their families.

After the performance, each of the judges gave their comments. Yeng commended them for their attitude towards each other. She saw them cheering each other before the performance. Sandara cited their strong appeal and good voices and very good nice chemistry. For Vice, Russell showed greatest improvement in terms of voice. But for him the biggest improvement is Niel in terms of appeal.

#BoyBandPH2ndLive: Group of “Rockers” Up Next

James, Miko, Henz and Mark performed a rocked-up version of “Ako’y Iyong Iyo.” When it came to the judges’ comments, Sandara commented on their energy which she loved. On the other hand, Vice did not like their performance. He also noted that when they performed individually, they did not shine as much. Aga however did not agree with Vice’s comments, and said that the group’s number was good. Yeng singled out Mark for his performance tonight, especially how he connected with the crowd. She also noted James’ need to improve his Filipino pronunciation.

#BoyBandPH2ndLive: Last Three Heartthrobs

The last group includes Tristan, Allen and Ford. For their performance, they sang The Boyfriends’ “Labis Kitang Mahal.” After they performed, the judges said their piece. For Vice, he expressed disappointment that none of the groups tonight gave the “kilig” they were looking for. Aga on the other hand had positive comments about the group and congratulated them for doing good.

When it came to Yeng, she said that they worked well as a group. She also reminded them that they should shine as individuals as well.

Pinoy Boyband Superstar Judges Choose Best and Weakest Groups of the Week

Billy called on Aga to make the announcement of the strongest group of the week. Aga called on the group who sang “Dahil Mahal Kita:” Joao, Russell, Niel and Tony. As strongest group of the week, they will be safe from elimination this week.

The weakest group, much to the surprise of the audience, was the group of James, Henz, Mark and Miko. They will come back tomorrow for their survival songs.
