POPCORN TIME LIVE BLOG RECAP: On Pinoy Boyband Superstar’s November 13 episode, four heartthrobs will need to sing for survival. James, Henz, Miko and Mark got labelled as the weakest group of the week, and so they need to perform in tonight’s live show. After their performances, voting will once again open for the public to save their favorite heartthrob.
#BoyBandPH2ndElim Mark and Miko Sing for Survival
First to perform his survival song is Mark. He chose “This Is The Time of My Life” as his song. Miko, who hails from Canada, sang an OPM hit “This Time.” According to him, he usually sings this song with his siblings back in Canada.
After the two performances, the judges gave their comments for each contestant. Sandara went first, saying that both singers might be better off as solo singers. Yeng on the other hand, commented on Mark’s lack of connection with the audience. She also noted that while Miko connected with the audience, his performance was not perfect. Aga noted that Mark was beginning to shine as the competition continues. Lastly, Vice said that that if he was going to choose between the two of them, he will choose Mark.
Before the break, Billy reminded everyone on how to vote through SMS and Google. He also said that voting will open after all the performances are done.
#BoyBandPH2ndElim Henz and James Take Center Stage
Henz first performed and he sang “25 Minutes.” When asked who the song reminded him of, he mentioned a girl that he was not able to confess his feelings to. After Henz, James followed with his rendition of “Say Something.”
After both contestants finished, the judges were asked to give their comments. Aga was first to share his thoughts. For him, James performed well tonight. He also took this chance to say he appreciated James’ effort to learn to speak Filipino. Vice, on the other hand, felt that Henz has “failed to step up,” especially after being in the bottom group the past two weeks. For him, James performed better than Henz. Sandara emphasized that there was a lack of improvement in Henz’ voice. As for Yeng, she said that she was “mesmerized” by James’ voice tonight.
After another reminder about how to vote, the polls opened at 7:25 p.m. Billy announced that the public can vote to save two heartthrobs tonight.
