ABS-CBN Pinoy Boyband Superstar Nov. 26: Mark, Allen and Tony (Team Gusto Kita) Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Here is a (live blog) recap of Pinoy Boyband Superstar, Nov. 26 episode. Host Billy Joe Crawford and judges Aga Muhlach, Sandara Park, Yeng Constantino and Vice Ganda are all set to pick the next Pinoy heartthrob. The final three weeks of the competition begins in this episode, where the boyband hopefuls are set to sing songs requested by the superfans. Pinoy Boyband Superstar (PBS), Nov. 26 Episode #BoybandPH4thLive Live Blog The first group to perform includes Allen, Mark and Anthony. The guys sing “Gusto Kita” in some beach-cool outfit (despite the Amihan weather). For Team Gusto Kita, Aga Muhlach feels the guys need to show that they’re really enjoying the show. Yeng Constantino says she was charmed. Sandara Park points out the performance was just fine, and a better song choice might have worked better. Vice Ganda sums up all the comments by saying the guys have to take some risk instead of playing it safe. Perhaps by trying new things on stage, the guys could deliver a “shining” performance, VG says. After the judges gave their comments, Allen’s dad shows up on stage to surprise his son. It is an emotional reunion that could boost Allen’s morale, assuming he gets to continue his journey on Pinoy Boyband Superstar. Niel, Ford and Russel are practically assured that they would get to the next round. Niel hoards the highest of praises for standing out with his vocals. Aga says he gets hurt when people say the Boyband contestants can’t really sing, but Team I Swear prove them wrong with their live number. Joao is charming as always, but James still has a lot to learn when it comes to live numbers. Production-wise, the group is unable to beat Team I Swear, which probably means Vice Ganda was spot-on when he hinted that Niel, Ford and Russel will be going through to the next major round in the competition. Here’s a fan’s tweet in support of Joao from Team Rude: Galing galing mo baby @boyband_joao ? so proud of you!! ? Char ?? Hahaha MakeItHappenAgain JOAO#BoybandPH4thLive — SASA (@alyssabergado) November 26, 2016 The announcement of safe boyband contestants follows after a commercial break. PBS judge Sandara Park announces the next guy to get through to the next round: Tony! This means Allen will have to sing for survival after his emotional reunion with his dad earlier in the show. From Team I Swear, Judge Yeng Constantino announces Ford is safe. Yeng tells Russel he should take this as a chance to really shine. One more commercial break before the last safe contestant is announced. Here’s a tweet from a fan supporting Tristan: You made it @boyband_tristan! You slayin everytime! Im admit kulang ka sa fans but damn, lakas mo sa judges. ??☺️ #BoybandPH4thLive — WilCoraLove (@Mighty_Collado) November 26, 2016 Between Joao and James from the group that sang Rude, the cheer sounded a bit louder for the latter. Vice Ganda announces the last contestant to join Boyband of the Week is Joao. This sends James to the second round of eliminations this week. Allen, Russel and James will be singing on tomorrow’s episode. Who will get to stay in the competition? Like PilipinasPopcorn on Facebook for more updates.
