Pinoy Boyband Superstar Oct. 15 Episode: Jester Hernandez, Ethan Salvador, Guion Antonio, Bradyn Villanueva All In; see PBS photos here

This is a live blog that runs down what happened during the Pinoy Boyband Superstar, Oct. 15 episode. Keep it here for updates on the heartthrobs who will get a chance to perform in front of judges Vice Ganda, Aga Muhlach, Yeng Constantino and Sandara Park, and who will move to the next round.

This weekend will be the last set of auditions before the show moves to the next round of the contest.

#BoybandSabado Jester Hernandez is In!

First up is Jester Hernandez, grandchild of Rick Manrique, undisputed “Hari ng Kundiman.” He said that he joined the contest in order to help his family, after suffering from a big loss in their furniture business when his father died.  “Araw-araw ko kayong mamahalin” is his promise to the all-girl audience. With a 90% approval rating, he went into the judges booth. After he sang his version of Sia’s “Titanium,” Yeng commented that he can perform and she feels that he can add something to the contest. Vice Ganda said that he looked ok and performed ok. Sandara on the other hand said that she will need to think about whether to say yes or no. Aga was not satisfied with his song choice.

When it came to voting, he got three yes votes from Yeng, Aga and Sandara. Vice gave him a no vote. Jester goes through to the next round.

The next contestant is Michael Hogan from Quezon City. With blonde hair, Billy Crawford said that he looked like Justin Bieber. Getting an approval rating of 76%, he got into the judges booth. After performing a Justin Bieber song, Aga said that he looked and moved like Justin, but his singing was not like Justin. Yeng commented that there was no need for him to be someone else. Vice had the same comment, saying that his personality did not come out during his performance. When it came to voting, Yeng and Sandara said yes, while Aga said no. Before Vice could give his vote, he asked Michael to sing another song that would show his personality. After his song however, Vice still said no, leaving Michael out of the competition.

Ralph Victorino is the next contestant, a 17-year-old from Bulacan. After mentioning that he loved to dance, he showed off some of his moves and was later on joined by Billy Crawford. He apparently learned how to dance from his dad who is a dance teacher. Even his dad showed off his dance moves with Vice. He sang an OPM song, which all of the judges were not impressed with. He received four no votes because of this.

#BoybandSabado, Ethan Salvador and Guion Antonio In!

Two more heartthrobs are in: Ethan Salvador and Guion Antonio. Their full audition videos were not showed however, but both got enough votes to go to the next round.

Next up is Julijo Pisk, 15, who got a 75% approval rating that gave him a chance to perform before the judges. “Simpleng Tulad Mo” by Daniel Padilla was his song choice. Aga gave him a yes, but the rest of the judges said no. Most of the judges said that he needed to practice his talent some more, but his charm is already there.

#BoybandSabado, Bradyn Villanueva is In!

The next heartthrob is Bradyn Villanueva from San Diego, California. He is half-Filipino and half-Norwegian. His mom is his musical inspiration. With an approval rating of 77%, he went into the judges booth. He performed Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” while playing his guitar.

With three yes votes from Aga, Yeng and Sandara, he goes through to the next round.
