Welcome to our Popcorn Time live blog of Pinoy Boyband Superstar, Oct. 23 episode. Tonight, celebrity judges Vice Ganda, Aga Muhlach, Yeng Constantino and Sandara Park will reveal their Top 20 and the boybands where these 20 will be part of. The bottom 20 will also battle it out tonight for the last five slots to form the fifth boyband.

#BoybandLastChance: Vice Ganda and Sandara Announces Groups 1 and 2

The first group that was called by Vice were part of Group 1: Joao, Luigi, Henz, Mark and Josh. Sandara announced the members of the second group: Gabriel, Marcus, Isaiah, Wilbur, Russell.

Yeng gave the bad news to six boys however, which included the twins and one of the crowd favorites, Yuki. Vice called the members of the third group of boys which included Nico, Ethan, Michael, Bradyn, Tristan. Unfortunately, they were not part of any group yet.

#BoybandLastChance: Aga and Yeng Announces Groups 3 and 4

Aga called Raynald. Neil, Keano, Ray, Allen who were part of the third group. Yeng called on the following boys: Angelo, Jindric, Tony, Jimsen, Ford, who became part of the fourth group.

Kenith, Nhiko, Guion, Cyrill, Dwight were unfortunately not part of any group, according to Sandara. Angelo, James, Miko, Sef, Jay were the last set of boys who were part of the bottom 20.

#BoybandLastChance: Bottom 20 Given Last Chance To Perform

The first two sets of boys who were not part of the Top 20 were given the Backstreet Boys’ “Quit Playing With My Heart” while the second sets of boys will perform “As Long As You Love Me.” They were only given 24 hours to practice, after which they will perform before the judges once again.

After the first group of 10 boys performed, the judges shared their comments and who stood out for each of them. Vice pointed out the Twinkabogables as the ones who gave the best performance because they were the ones with the most confidence. For Sandara, Guion was the strongest performer. Yeng on the other hand said that Kenith stood out for her during the performance, but was disappointed that he got his lyrics wrong. For Aga, it was the Twinkabogables who stood out as well as Guion.

The second group of 10 performed “As Long As You Love Me.” For Vice, it was Miko who gave a very good performance. Tristan was also pointed out. Sandara on the other hand also liked Miko’s performance as well as Jaykim and James. Yeng commended the group for their energy and aura. She also noted Miko’s stand out performance. Aga also mentioned Miko and shared some encouraging words for James.

The fifth group as announced by the judges included Miko, Tristan, Twinkabogables, Guion and James.

Before the end of the episode, the judges handed out the songs that each group will prepare for their performance. Group 1 will sing “Sukob Na” while Group 2 was assigned “This I Promise You.” “Love Me For a Reason” was the song assigned to Group 3, and “Nanghihinayang” for Group 4. The last group, Group 5, was assigned “Uptown Girls” as their song.

Live performances will start next weekend. Pinoy Boyband Superstar airs every weekend on ABS-CBN at 7 p.m. It is also available via livestreaming on IWantTV.
