It is the last week of August and it is great to know that there is something awesome to officially welcome the “Ber” Months! It is surely beginning to look like Christmas, not to mention feeling like it. So, for those who are longing for a holiday in their heads, the movie theater is the best option.

Movie Mix August 30: An Interesting Mix of Action, Adventure with a Hint of Romance
Gunslingers, mythical structures and an apprentice – Stephen King’s novel series turns into a science fantasy western live action film starring Hollywood A-listers Idris Elba, Matthew McConaughey, and Tom Taylor. When an 11-year-old boy named Jake Chambers begins to dream of a Man in Black try to destroy a mysterious tower and is opposed by a Gunslinger, Jake’s mother is worried. The psychiatrists say that he is having such dreams because of his father’s recent death. To Jake, however, this is not so. Everything he sees is real to him. He follows the visions in his dreams and is lead to an abandoned house. Little did he know that it is a portal that allows him to travel to the post-apocalyptic Mid-World. It is in that dimension where he meets Roland Deschain, the Gunslinger who relentlessly seeks to defeat the Man in Black (Walter Padick) and protect the Dark Tower by all means. Jake soon realizes that he shares something common with Roland that holds the key to destroying Walter Padick for good and saving both their worlds.
Julia Barretto is the eccentric and awkward teenager, Mika, who sets off on a journey to be abducted by aliens. She wants this so bad because according to her mother being abducted by aliens is a privilege that only means that there is a better place for her out there. When Mika’s mother falls into illness, all the more did she want so desperately to escape her sadness by looking for the third kind. In her journey, she meets Caloy (Joshua Garcia) and offers him a ride. This newfound friendship tugs Mika’s heartstrings when she finds out that Caloy has cancer. The seemingly odd combination of personalities may actually be a recipe for a perfect romance along with some nuggets of wisdom.
