Movie Mix February 16: Marvel, L.O.V.E., and Fright Nights
The eighteenth Marvel Cinematic Universe film,“Black Panther,” is finally here and superhero fans everywhere are no longer in anticipation. The film directed by Ryan Coogler tells the story of a man named T’Challa (Black Panther) who returns home after his father, the King of Wakanda, passed away. In the process of him assuming the throne, he gets his baptism of fire when he is forced to face a powerful adversary. Chadwick Boseman stars in the Marvel movie along with Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Forest Whitaker, and Angela Bassett.
“Sin Island” becomes too complicated for Xian Lim, Coleen Garcia, TJ Trinidad, and Nathalie Hart. When a photographer named David (Xian) catches his wife (Coleen) red-handed having an affair with her co-worker (TJ), David decides to take some time off in some island. In that island, David meets a mysterious woman named Tasha (Nathalie) looking beautiful in her tattoos. With the pain still fresh in his heart, he succumbs to just go with the flow with Tasha. Do you think it was worth it?
Janella Salvador has no choice but to live as a mermaid after an unpleasant encounter with the sea corals. Chantel (Janella) is a spoiled girl. She even went as far as annoying the sea corals’ inner peace which led to her being cursed with a mermaid’s tail. To get back to her human form, she is forced to look for her “prince charming” with the help of her best friend Noah.
Things get even more stranger with Charlie Heaton in “Marrowbone.” Four siblings swore secrecy over the death of their mother to make sure that they all stay together. Such secrets then awakened a dark presence in the manor in which they live in. The story is written and directed by Sergio G. Sánchez. Anya Taylor-Joy, George McKay, Mia Goth, and Matthew Stagg star alongside Charlie Heaton.
