From Scarlett Johansson’s Ghost in the Shell to Piolo Pascual’s Northern Lights: A Journey To Love, movie fans will be screaming in their minds for quite some time. Smurfs: Lost Village is also a must-see for the family, especially for those needing some good ‘ole happy pills. Carrie Pilby, on the other hand, will surely get its audience thinking and hopefully give some perspective in life. So, let us begin, shall we?

ScarJo is a Kick-Ass Cyborg in ‘Ghost in the Shell’

ScarJo is “Mira”, a.k.a. “The Major,” in the live action film of the famed Manga, “Ghost in the Shell.” She is a cyber-enhanced counter-terrorist who thwarts criminals, hackers and terrorists with her task force, Section 9. Things start getting shady when she encounters one who is similar to her, telling her that her life was stolen from her. She then starts trying to figure out what happened to her in a futuristic and punkish dystopia.

Piolo Pascual in ‘Northern Lights: A Journey To Love’ – A Father and Son’s Story

Filipino immigrant in Alaska, Charlie Sr. (Piolo), loves his life that is free from responsibilities. When he meets his estranged son, Charlie Jr. (Raikko), whom he left in the Philippines, his life turns around. He begins to feel that being an estranged father is his son is challenging.  When he meets the happy heart, Angel (Yen), his predicament becomes lighter. He has a reason to look forward to another day with Angel with him. Angel, too, is trying to restore family ties. She ventures to Alaska to look for her long lost mother. The Filipino drama that features the dreamy magnificence of Alaska’s Northern Lights stars Piolo Pascual, Yen Santos and Raikko Mateo. It is written by Onay Sales and directed by Dondon Santos.

Awaken the Kid in You – Smurfs: Lost Village

This story takes its audience to a follow-the-map adventure. When Smurfette, Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty decide to follow a mysterious map, they find themselves in a race to the Forbidden Forest. Their destination leads to Smurf history’s biggest secret. Will they be successful?

The Smurfs have famous voices. Ariel Winter, Joe Manganiello, Michelle Rodriguez, Julia Roberts , and Ellie Kemper are the voices to Smurflily, Hefty, Smurfstorm, Smurfwillow, and Smurfblossom, respectively. In addition the film stars the voices of, Mandy Patinkin (Papa Smurf), Rainn Wilson (Gargamel), Demi Lovato (Smurfette), Jake Johnson (Grouchy), Jack McBrayer (Clumsy), Danny Pudi (Brainy), Gabriel Iglesias (Jokey), Tituss Burgess (Vanity), Gordon Ramsay (Baker), and Meghan Trainor (Smurf Melody).

Life After Harvard Gets Real – Carrie Pilby

The film is based on the novel “Carrie Pilby” written by Caren Lissner. It is a coming of age story about a young prodigy who finishes in Harvard at a very young age. Amidst her high intelligence, she finds it difficult to figure out the world especially when it comes to morality, relationships, sex and leaving her apartment.
