Miss Universe 2021, Harnaaz Sandhu, returns to India after she was crowned in the pageant’s finals night held in Eliat, Israel, Sunday, December 12.

Sandhu received a grand warm welcome from her family, friends, and supporters at the Mumbai Airport on her arrival on December 16, as they all applauded and cheered for her return.

She arrived at the airport wearing a long red gown with the sash of “Miss Universe 2021” and shared a humbling moment with the crowd. Before she was escorted to her vehicle, Harnaaz Sandhu posed for the pictures and endlessly thanked her supporters. The newly crowned Miss Universe 2021 then confidently waved the Indian flag as her way of showing appreciation to everyone in the venue.

Harnaaz Sandhu’s Journey To The Crown

Sandhu has caught the hearts of fans all over the world ever since the start of the competition. It was in the question and answer portion of the pageant though where she really shone through.

The question asked to her was, “What advice would you give young women who are watching on how to deal with the pressures they face today?”

The now-reigning Miss Universe 2021 said, “ The biggest pressure the youth of today is facing is to believe in themselves. To know that you are unique. That’s what makes you beautiful. Stop comparing yourselves with others and let’s talk about more important things that’s happening worldwide.”

She added, “This is what you need to understand. Come out. Speak for yourselves because you are the leader of your life. You are the voice of your own. I believed in myself and that’s why I am standing here today.

Ms. Harnaaz Sandhu started her pageantry journey at the age of 17, and was crowned Miss Diva 2021, Femina Miss India Punjab 2019, and ranked Top 12 at Femina Miss India 2019. She also appeared in Punjabi films like “Yaara Diyan Poo Baran” and “Bai Ji Kuttange.”

Now, the 21-year-old Miss Universe 2021 is now on her way to performing her duties as the reigning queen.
