Sept 1 is a regular holiday as declared by the Malacañang Palace in observance of Eid’l Adha or Feast of Sacrifice. President Rodrigo Duterte made the announcement as he signed Proclamation 297 upon the recommendation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos.

Just after a long weekend of Aug 26 to Aug 28 due to National Heroes Day, another long weekend awaits Pinoys as Eid’l Adha falls on a Friday.

Sept 1 Regular Holiday, Baguio Day and Eid’l Adha

On Monday, Aug 28, President Duterte signed Proclamation 297 and was released on Tuesday. ABS-CBN posted a copy of the said proclamation via tweet. This declared Friday, Sept 1 as a regular holiday throughout the country. Eid’l Adha is one of the greatest feasts of Islam.

Coincidentally, Sept 1 is also a holiday for Baguio dwellers as it is also Baguio Day.
