Robin Padilla’s Case vs GMA Network

In an update, GMA reported that Manila court has thrown the civil case filed by actor Robin Padilla against GMA Network, two officials and a reporter out the window. The actor filed a case because of reports that linked him to the P 1.125 billion worth of liquid shabu siezed by authorities in a house in Pampanga.

According to the report, Robin filed the case against them because the report GMA released online destroyed his reputation and integrity as a public figure which the court rejected. GMA president and Chief Operating Officer Gilbert Duavit Jr., GMA news online editor in chief Jaemark Tordecilla and FMA News reported Emil Sumangil were cleared of charges, which was a decision made by the Manila Metropolitan Trial Court Brance 5 on December 7.

The report further said that the court added that a complainant must prove that the their was adequate proof of such damage.
