With every new smartphone release, rumors and leaks are plenty surfacing right now. With Samsung’s latest move, everyone up to their toes about the latest iteration in the Samsung Galaxy Series. Samsung Galaxy S8: Release Date Samsung fans were all taken by surprise at the demise of the Galaxy Note 7’s explosion dilemma. Because of this, the S8 release was moved to sometime during April. TechRadar confirms that the new smartphone model will be launched on March 29. It will be up for pre-order starting April 10 and is rumored to hit stores on April 21. The tech giant previously blamed the wrong size of batteries as the reason for it to overheat (and subsequently causing it to explode), leading to its product recall. Samsung may have postponed the early launch due to these problems, and for a full-on investigation on the product. Samsung Galaxy S8: Price The exact pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S8 hasn’t been released yet. But basing on the previous iterations of the phone, the Galaxy S8’s price should range between P39,000 – P42,000. It’s been rumored that the smartphone will sell at around $850 in the United States – roughly around P43,000 in the Philippines. Currently, the Galaxy S7 can be bought for P33,000 while the Galaxy S6 sells at around P6,000. Samsung has stated that they wanted to make the screen the main feature for the new S8 model, filling as much as the front face could fit. For South Korean customers with the ill-fated Note 7, they’ll be bale to trade it in for the new S8. Some say that the home button will be removed. A dual-lens camera ill also be included, and that it will also have provisions for an “S pen.” It’s also expected to be one of the fastest phones in the market with powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chips. It will also feature an infinity screen that has Samsung’s new Amoled screen technology. A fingerprint sensor is also rumored to help users navigate through the homepage, or that its sensor would be located on the side of the phone. The camera will feature an improved dual pixel technology for better viewing of videos and pictures on the 4K screen. As for the rumors of the home button being completely removed, there has been a couple supposed “leak” images on Chinese Social Media which supports the rumor and also adds the presence of a second selfie camera – sending Samsung fans into a fit. The Samsung Galaxy S8 will also come with a new AI voice assistant, their own version of Apple’s Siri. This is not the only step that Samsung has taken to follow along the footsteps of its rival, as it also removed its headphone jack, following the iPhone 7. A 4K screen will also be introduced in response to the growing fad of Virtual Reality. The Snapdragon 820 supports the native 4K displays on the previous Galaxy model at a whopping rate of 60fps. The storage will be around 128 GB and the RAM would hit about 4 GB of power.
