After taking a break from being one of the coaches in “The Voice Kids,” pop princess Sarah Geronimo is returning as coach for the first season of “The Voice Teens” this 2017. Her manager, Vic Del Rosario, shared the news, saying that Sarah is ready to go back to work.
Sarah was last seen on ‘The Voice Kids” during its second season in 2015. In 2016, she opted not to take on mentoring duties because she wanted to concentrate on her own singing. She also shared that since the role as mentor involved role-playing and that she felt she was not an expert in her field yet to speak with authority.
Busy 2017 For Sarah G
In a chat with Salve Asis of Pilipino Star, Del Rosario also revealed that the pop princess’ schedule for the first half of 2017 is already full. He also added that Sarah was able to rest and “recharge,” since she took a two-month vacation last year. According to him, this was a long-deserved break as she has been working non-stop since 2003.
Most of her schedule is filled with new commitments for endorsements, according to her manager, which has reached to 30, with more coming.
New Movie With John Lloyd, Concert And New Album
Among the projects that will keep her busy this year is her new movie with John Lloyd Cruz, the other half of a box office loveteam. According to an earlier ABS-CBN report, the two will reunite in “Dear Future Husband,” three years after their last movie, “It Takes A Man and A Woman.”
The pair created quite a stir on social media when they posted their photos online, showing each of them standing beside one another’s standee. The film’s working title also made it to the top trending topics list last week, prior to the formal announcement of the movie.
Del Rosario also told Asis that Sarah is preparing for a concert in November and the release of her new album, which follows last 2015’s “The Great Unknown.”
