With this award, Sarah brings more pride for the Philippines, proving that Filipino artists can make their mark internationally. Sarah G Performs And Receives Award In Tokyo This award adds yet another international award to Sarah’s roster of awards. She attended the awards ceremonies in Tokyo on November 11. While there, she also performed on stage with her rendition of “Anak,” a Freddie Aguilar classic song. According to CNN Philippines, she joined other performers such as Jeff Beck, Joe Perry, Rudolf Schenker, Richie Sambora, Orianthi, Tesla and Cheap Trick. As always, the pop princess did not forget to her supporters for their untiring support. In a Facebook post, she shared her photo holding the trophy. She captioned the post: “Thank you so much, The Classic Rock Awards 2016 + Live Performance for the Best Asian Performer award. Sarah G released her 12th album “The Great Unknown” last year. She also held consecutive concerts in a packed Smart Araneta Coliseum. Last year, however, she did not receive any international awards. In addition to “Best Asian Performer,” she previously won the Best Asian Artist Award at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2012 and the Best Southeast Asian Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2014. She was also named Best Selling Filipino Artist at the 22nd World Music Awards. The Classic Rock Awards is organized by Classic Rock Magazine.
