Sauna Reduces Risk Of Dementia According to FOX News, Finnish researchers found that men who would go for a sauna four to seven times a week have 66% less chances of being diagnosed with dementia. Report says more research is needed to figure out the connection between these warms baths and memory. Lead author of Age and Aeging Jari Laukkanen said, “It is known that cardiovascular health affects the brain as well.” He added that the sense of well-being and relaxation that people get during a sauna plays a significant role as well. A research was conducted at the University of Eastern Finland. They divided 2,300 men between 42 and 60 years old into three groups. The first group used sauna once a week, the other two to three times a week and the last group went four to seven times a week. The research showed that those who went for a sauna frequently had 66% less chances of being diagnosed with dementia. Not just that, it also showed that they had 65% less chances of being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.The report also said that sauna can also help you live longer.
