In a Facebook, the actress denies the report and even tries to make light of the situation by making a joke out of it. The megastar is the latest victim to fall to fake news. According to a PEP.ph report, the article came out on May 30 on the asia-newstv.com site, with the headline Enough is Enough as Actress Reveals She is HIV Positive. Sharon Cuneta Is Back To Work Sharon took the time to react to the circulating news despite her busy schedule. In her Facebook post on June 1 seen below, she mentions that she came from a taping for The Voice Teens, where she is a coach. Although she was making a joke about it, she nevertheless emphasized that the news was “super fake.” She also could not help hitting at those behind it, saying “God have mercy on the souls of those responsible.” Prior to Sharon speaking out, another PEP.ph report also tried to disprove the news that came out. Citing the actress’ social media posts in the past days, the report pointed out no indication whatsoever of her alleged condition. The megastar is apparently very busy not only with The Voice, but also preparing for her upcoming concert tour in the U.S. She also mentions that she is working on her first independent film for Cinemalaya. As she deals with back to back work commitments, she continues to be thankful for her “strength, health and energy.” Back After A Short Break In early May, Sharon took a short break from her work commitments and flew to the U.S. by herself. While she was away, rumors about why she left hounded her, including rumors about the state of her marriage. She has, of course, denied these as well, saying she merely wanted to be by herself to recharge. Facebook Comments
