Jex De Castro was among the best contestants in Tawag Ng Tanghalan Feb. 22 episode on ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime. His heartfelt rendition of Martin Nievera’s “Ikaw” wowed fans and the judges. Tawag Ng Tanghalan round three quarter four semi-finals is titled “Awit Sa Pamilya.”

Semi-finalists were asked to sing a song that they wish to dedicate to their families. One after the other, semi-finalists couldn’t help but be emotional while singing their songs. Among all of them, Jex De Castro seem to have captured the hearts of the judges and the audience.

Toward the end of his performance, Jex De Castro could not fight tears, affecting the audience and rendering Vice Ganda emotional on live television. Jex joined Tawag Ng Tanghalan twice before, but he did not succeed right away.
