The complete statement read, “Hello. This is Blossom Entertainment and UAA. First of all, we give our thanks to the Korean and international fans who have shown a lot of interest in and love for Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo. Also, we ask for your understanding as we convey this surprising news.”

It went on to say, “Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo will be holding a wedding ceremony on the final day of October 2017. A marriage is not only a private matter but also a meeting between two families, so it was a delicate situation in many ways. There was no choice but to be cautious prior to marriage, and so we are at last conveying this message. We ask for everyone’s understanding.”

The statement ended with the agencies asking fans to send the Song-Song couple best wishes for their future and reassured them that Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo will be giving the news to their fans separately.

Song Hye Kyo not pregnant, no shotgun wedding. Right after the good news, pregnancy rumors started to come out. Fans are speculating if the Song-Song couple are doing a shotgun wedding. Song Hye Kyo’s agency immediately addressed these rumors saying, “Absolutely not,” as reported by All KPop.

Some are crying tears of happiness, others even call them the best couple of the century, while others express how they’ve been rooting for the couple ever since.

Another fan remembered an interview the Song-Song couple had before when Song Hye Kyo was asked if someone she liked asked her if he should confess his love or apologize. She said, “I’d tell him to confess, I don’t have time to waste, I’m getting old, I can’t waste time.” Well, Song Joong Ki got that message.
