Spoiler Alert: Charlie Cox’s appearance as Matt Murdock (AKA Daredevil) on MCU’s Spider-Man No Way Home is confirmed!
Speculations regarding Matt Murdock’s appearance have been all over the Twitterverse. For the past week, eagle-eyed Marvel fans have been trying to find hidden easter eggs in the film trailers and announcements.
Some Twitter users have even said that Natasha Romanoff and Matt Murdock would make a great team-up in a movie should the character appear in the movie. On the other hand, others joked the visual power of the two together would be too much.
It is final though. It has happened. Matt Murdock is indeed in the movie and Marvel fans all over are nothing but excited. The news broke out that Murdock will be on Spider-Man No Way Home on the same day as the actor’s birthday. And with that, the hashtags #MattMurdock and #CharlieCox started trending on Twitter.
Much like Captain America’s moment in Avengers: Infinity War, where he picked up Thor’s hammer ‘Mjollnir,’ the crowd also went wild with Matt Murdock’s (Daredevil) appearance in the movie. Marvel fans are now hoping that Murdock’s cameo will be more extended than the film featured.
Marvel released the movie earlier in the United States than in other countries and plenty of Marvel fans was ecstatic. While other fans still won’t be seeing it for themselves for a while, spoilers can’t be helped. Twitter users have already taken it upon themselves to reveal what Matt Murdock will be doing in the movie.
Murdock’s scene is short but fans are still excited about what’s to come. They’re also wondering about whether he’ll still be making more appearances in future films.
What to expect from Murdock’s scene in Spider-Man No Way Home
Murdock had introduced himself in the film as Peter’s (Spiderman) lawyer who describes to the superhero the consequences of people knowing his identity. Just as he explains what might happen to Peter, Aunt May, and Happy, a supporter of Mysterio, throws a brick through the window. Before Peter can grab it though, Murdock catches it first. Peter who was dumbfounded asks how he did that. Murdock simply replies, “I’m a really good lawyer.”
