That said, it’s time to pick the trailer apart and find out. READ | ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Full Movie Trailer Out, Watch Trailer Here ‘Spiderman: Homecoming’ Plot – Two Spider Suits? The first thing audiences may notice in the trailer is how Peter Parker — played by Tom Holland — keeps switching between his costume featured in Captain America: Civil War, and his homemade jacket and mask. There are two potential explanations as to why both suits will be featured. Either A.) Homecoming will take place mostly in the present and feature flashbacks to Spidey’s life before Civil War, or B.) Peter Parker actually loses his Spiderman suit somewhere along the way. Option A is the more likely scenario. However, with Tony Stark taking Peter as a prodigy, it isn’t inconceivable to see the former confiscating the Spiderman suit when the latter acts recklessly as a vigilante. Maybe Peter loses his suit some other means as well, such as in combat with one of the film’s villains? Homecoming “Shocker” – Logan Marshall Green or Bokeem Woodbine Spiderman villain Shocker will be appearing in the movie, but who exactly will be playing him? Logan Marshall-Green appears in the trailer at 1:46 in the trailer, together with Donald Glover. He appears to be holding a gun with a mounted Iron Man gauntlet, and this could potentially be prototype technology for the Shocker’s signature weapon. On the other hand, set pictures have revealed Bokeem Woodbine wearing what looks like a Shocker glove on his hand. Perhaps one of the actors will play the Shocker, while the other plays the Tinkerer? It has been hinted that the latter is going to be in the film. If anything like the comics, the Tinkerer is likely to be responsible for coming up with the weapons the villains in Homecoming will use. Spider Suit Hidden Features One of the Homecoming trailer’s key highlights was the big reveal of Spiderman’s webbed underarms, more affectionately known as “Web-wings.” In the comics, these wings are completely for visual purposes only. However, several animated incarnations of Spiderman have used the web-wings to glide, or even fly. The fact that the web-wings are included in the Stark-made Spidersuit suggests that Tony Stark may have included a few more features Peter doesn’t know about. Several potential gadgets that make an appearance in the comics include spider-shaped tracking beacons, a Spider Signal (already seen in the Civil War after-credits scene), and stealth technology. “Spider-Man:Homecoming” hits theaters on July 2017.
