Big bang member Taeyang is on a roll as he drops new photos and music videos for his upcoming album, “White Night.” Recently, he teased more fans by uploading a one-minute audio track which gives away portions of his comeback album.
Taeyang, born Dong Young-bae, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and dancer. He is known popularly for being a member of K-Pop group, Big Bang. The group is one of the best-selling digital group in Asia and one of the best selling boy bands in the world. Taeyang joined Big Bang in 2006 and pursued a solo career in 2008. Since then, he has become one of the best-selling male South Korean R&B artists. His first album, “Solar,” was the first K-Pop music release to be sold worldwide on iTunes.
Taeyang’s first world tour as a solo artist was Rise World Tour which promoted his second album, “Rise.” His tour started in August 2014 and ended in March 2015. In 2015, he worked with G-Dragon and released the single “Mapsosa.” After two years, on August 7, YG entertainment announced his third album, “White Night.”

Taeyang’s agency dropped a one-minute audio track on Twitter that introduces the intro of all the tracks included. Check the tweet below. Taeyang’s comeback album has eight songs namely: White Night, Wake Me Up, Darlin, Ride, Amazin, Empty Road, Naked and Tonight.
Before uploading the one-minute track, the singer already dropped a music video teaser for the track, “Darlin.” Check the video below. The video was posted on Monday, Aug 14, and is just 50 seconds. It shows Taeyang struggling to run in a sandstorm, heading towards a building and then kneeling in front of a podium. The scene then shifts to the K-pop star in a mountain. The video has already had half a million views.
Around the same time on Monday, Taeyang dropped the album cover, or album covers, via Instagram. Check the Instagram photos below. There isn’t just one, but three versions of album covers. Each of them had the same elements: flowers and feathers. The difference is just the color. One has it in white, the other blue and the last in red. The post already had around 200k thousand likes in just hours.
On Aug 15, Taeyang also posted another teaser on Instagram for the track, “Wake Me Up.”
Taeyang’s third album, White Night, is set to be released on Wednesday, Aug 15. Meanwhile, the singer is preparing for his 2017 World Tour White Night which starts in September. He is due to be in the Philippines on Sept 22.
