Gerald Randolph Anderson Jr, also famously known as Gerald Anderson, is a Filipino-American Actor and son of Gerald Randy Anderson Sr. He was born by his Filipina mother, Evangeline Opsima, on March 7, 1989, in Subic, Zambales.
Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Season 1
Gerald first appeared on TV being a housemate and a part of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Season 1. There, people loved his chemistry with Kim Chiu, another housemate in PBB. The love team was called “Kimerald.” At the end of the show, Gerald placed third place and from there, he began to create a name in the industry. Because of his popularity, there were already tons of projects lined up for him.
First Day High Film
Following PBB, Gerald made his first appearance in the film “First Day High.” In the film, he plays MJ2 Ramirez, one of five freshmen involved in an investigation into poisoned water bottles that sabotage the basketball game. There, he was paired up with his former PBB housemate Kim Chiu.

Gerald Anderson’s first lead role in a primetime series is as Travis Johnson in “Sana Maulit Muli.” There, his leading lady was Lady Kim Chiu once again. For his role, Gerald got the Best New Male Personality in the 21st PMPC Star Awards for Television.
First Solo Movie With Kim Chiu: “I’ve Fallen For You”
Because of the pair’s fame, Gerald and Kim soon had their first-ever romantic solo movie “I’ve Fallen For You” after their appearance in the “First Day High” film. Gerald portrayed Alex Reyes, who shares the same name as Kim Chiu as female Alex Reyes. The two in the story have different personalities and problems. And as they partnered up for a cycling contest, they became close and since then have fallen in love with one another.
“Budoy:” TV Series
In 2011, Gerald Anderson had the opportunity to play a completely different role. He was Benjamin Maniago, also known as “Budoy” in the Primetime Drama Series. He portrayed a mentally-challenged man and paired with Jessy Mendiola as Jackie. Gerald showed how he is a great Filipino actor with his acting skills in this series.
