On Tawag Ng Tanghalan Aug 18 episode, Rocelle fights for her second win. Tawag Ng Tanghalan Aug 18 performances, daily winner, and champion First contender, Leonel Felipe. Leonel is a band vocalist from Taguig City. People love his voice but usually look down on him because of his looks. That doesn’t bother Leonel at all. In fact, he is very confident of himself which worked well for him as he sang “I’d Do Anything For Love” by Meat Loaf. This optimist owned the TNT giving off an energetic performance. Judge Ogie Alcasid said Leonel was a but pitch-y and his intonation wasn’t that clear. But, he liked the texture of his voice and his energy on stage. Judge Karylle saw and felt Leonel’s passion and energy and agreed with Ogie when it came to his intonation. She also advised him to explore other genres other than rock. Second contender, Eljon Alonzo. From the mountains of Tacloban, Eljon would bring whatever his mom cooks and sell it to the community when he was a kid. When he grew older, he still did whatever he could do to help and provide for the family. He had to stop school at one point, moved to Cavite and worked at a parlor. It was there where he met stand up comedians. Eventually, he joined these comedians, got a big break, and finally became a regular on stage. Eljon sang Whitney Houston’s “Didn’t We Almost Have It All.” Head judge Rey Valera didn’t quite understand Eljon’s style at first but realized he was using his falsetto voice. It did bother him a bit just because the shift from his low to falsetto voice wasn’t that smooth. Third contender, Edeliza Uraning. Edeliza used to work as an OFW as a band vocalist in Dubai for 12 years. She and her band we’re doing great and were even featured at the Balitang Global TFC. She feels honored to have brought PH music to Dubai. This did well for her and her family since she had to support her parents and her other siblings. Things took a sad turn when she and her husband knew it was difficult for her to bear kids. She went through medication but sadly her husband passed away even before they could try again. “You Learn” by Alanis Morissette was Edeliza’s contest piece for today. Judge Rico Jay Puno loved everything about Edeliza’s performance and said, “very good.” Judge Sitti said tonality, rhythm, and performance was ok. She just advised her to improve more on how she executed her first few notes which should have been stronger. TNT Aug 18 daily winner, face-off, and champion. TNT Aug 18 daily winner garnering an average score of 92.2 percent is Edeliza Uraning. Edeliza Uraning sang Lady Gaga’s “Million Reasons” for the face-off.
