First contender, Ailyn Ledesma. Ailyn is contender from Bulacan. She has been singing since she was still a young girl. When Ailyn was high school, she started joining singing contests and eventually joined a band. Ailyn became a single mom at a young age. Thanks to her mom, she was able to pull through. She takes the TNT stage singing “Paano” by Dulce for her mom and all single moms out there.

Judge Yeng says song choice was great. She liked how she was able to change the notes of the song a bit. There were moments of surprise in her performance that she loved. Judge Louie Ocampo, on the other hand, said the song was difficult to execute because of the structure of the notes but she was still able to do them well.

Second contender, Joanne Bernal. Joanne sings to prove thta her talent is enough to reach her dreams. She used to live in Singapore, but is now based in Bulacan and works as a band vocalist, host for events and make up artist. Joanne sang “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and belted out that powerful voice.

Judge Rey Valera said Joanne’s performance brought him to those days when Joanne’s song became a hit.

Third contender, Francis Apao. Francis is a 34-year old farmer from Davao del Sur. His only dream is to have a family of his own so he could someday pass on the talent he has to his future kids. He also dreams of becoming a famous professional singer someday. He sang “Lupa” for his performance.

Judge K Brosas really lovd how deep Francis’ voice was. She also loved his vibrato and said it waas very consistent. She added how gifted he was.

TNT Aug 23 daily winner, face-off and champion. Wednesday daily winner garnering an average score of 92.8 percent is Ailyn Ledesma.

For the face-off Ailyn sang “Isang Mundo Isang Awit” while defending champion John Raymundo sang,”Last Time.”

TNT Aug 23 champion is John Raymundo. This is John’s third win on the show. Two more and he is in for the semifinals.
